Taking the first step

I just came out from prison for giving forged evidence. But what I appreciated the most was that the Highpoint staff came to visit us when we were about to be released. Highpoint offered me accommodation which was most essential to me since shelter is important for people who are just released from prison. I like the system, reasonable rules and regulations which have been upheld over here. The counselling service, group work and house meetings are very helpful in their own ways by giving me the knowledge I need regarding my available options. This is a vital stepping stone for people like me who want to reintegrate back to the society. One day, I hope to run my own chicken rice stall and be self-reliant.
